Welcome to Jen Hartley Creative Learning! I bit about me: I have a bachelor's degree in vocal performance from the University of Michigan, a master's degree in early childhood and childhood general education from Bank Street College of Education, and an advanced certificate of teaching literacy (all grades). I have over 10 years of teaching experience in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade. I've taught typically developing students and those with special rights.

Some of the most joyful memories I have of my time in the classroom are those that center around music. Most children of varying abilities and learning styles love music, so what better way to bring educational content to life in a playful and engaging way?

From melody to animation, I write and produce all of my original videos myself. My goal is to make educational content memorable and fun! In each of my songs, the most important learning concept is succinctly stated in the chorus (the catchiest and most repetitive part of the song). That way, if students remember only the chorus, they're walking away an important lesson on repeat in their minds. (Earworm alert!)
